KRAGE - Porsche Increase of performance

Porsche 964 and 993

We take the increase of performance kits for the Porsche 964 and 993 from our cooperation partner Cartronic-Motorsport.
Due to the long experience of Cartronic Motorsport the tuning measures are specified adjusted to the engine and are no risk for the durabiltiy of the engine. The total restoration can be reversed and you can use it for other purposes.

Porsche 964

The increase of performance of the Porsche Carrera 2/4/RS engines with 250 resp.260 PS will be done by optimising of the combustive and injection engine characteristics of the digital engine electronics. Besides the great modifications in the partial and total load of the engine characteristics a slight lifting of the maximum engine speed to 6.880 U/min. All modifications are based on an using of the fuel quality with 98 Octan (Super Plus, unleaded).
The core of the total increase of performance is the installation of the Cartronic airflow-sensor kit LM 220. In connection with an installation of an amplified throttle valve in exchange as well as an sport air filter, the performances increases to about 212-220 KW (300 PS). The max. torque increases to about 365 Nm which is an improvement of 10 % to the production run.
The conversion kit includes the lates engine electronic an amplified throttle valve as well as a sport air filter and has a certificate from the Technical Control Board fo the TÜV Rhineland. This is conformed with the actual regulations for waste-off gas and sound. We recommend additionally the installation of a cup pipe and the sport cat..
The more power due to the conversion affected the total speed range, starting at 2.000 U/min aus. Throttle response and dynamic of the engine clearly improved. The limit speed increases by about 10 km/h.

PORSCHE 993

The increase of performance of the Porsche 993 engines is made by optimising the combustive and injection engine characteristics of the digial engine electronics. Besides the great modifications in the partial and total load of the engine characteristics a slight lifting of the maximum engine speed to 120 U/min .
The both serial end mufflers will be removed by a modified sport muffler system. Due to a constructive modification of the inside body an improved flow and a more sonorous exhaust sound will be reached.
Due to the installation of a special air filter and the installation of am amplified throttle you reach an increase of the performance of 213 kW (290 PS) at the 200 kW Models; together with an increase of the torque of 10%.
The 210 kW Models with a Varioram-intake system do not need the installation of a modified throttle. The final speed is about 220 kW (299 PS) after installation of the power kit
Both concepts have been checked by the TÜV Rheinland of the latest regulations for waste-off gas and sound and are a real alternatif to the very expensive increase of capacity.
To embrace the increased engine power we recommend the installation of a sport chassis with a rough tuning control.
